Now, the object has received a brand-new flashy revamp, where Estúdio Campana joins forces once again with Louis Vuitton and French artist Géraldine Gonzalez.

Louis Vuitton’s Cocoon Chair Gets a Flashy Revamp

Rather than altering the chair’s instantly recognizable silhouette, the new version transforms its surface through an intricate composition of hand-cut dichroic glass elements created in collaboration with Gonzalez. The iridescent finish reacts to changing light conditions, producing a dynamic spectrum of reflections that gives the impression of a constantly evolving object. This meticulous approach introduces an entirely new visual language while preserving the Cocoon’s signature enveloping form, demonstrating how material innovation can breathe new life into an established design icon.

The project also highlights Louis Vuitton’s longstanding dialogue between craftsmanship and artistic collaboration. Every glass element was individually shaped and assembled by hand, resulting in a singular collector’s piece that showcases the remarkable expertise behind the Objets Nomades collection. More than a luxury seat, the Cocoon becomes an immersive sculptural object, inviting viewers to experience light, texture, and movement from every angle while celebrating the enduring vision of the Campana brothers.
