Discover the Amazing Garage Museum in Miami!<\/strong> <\/em>\u2013 Right in the heart of the famous\u00a0Miami\u00a0Design District<\/strong><\/em>, a neighborhood dedicated to innovative\u00a0art, design, and architecture, <\/strong>we find the amazing Garage Museum!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a Musem of Modern or Contemporary Art. In fact, it\u2019s isn\u2019t a museum at all! It\u2019s a parking garage! That\u2019s right, this stunning project is a parking garage for 800 vehicles that fully represents the style and the glamour of the Miami Design District<\/p>\n

\"Discover<\/a><\/p>\n

This peculiar project was born in 2015, when\u00a0Miami\u00a0Design District<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0developer Craig Robins selected\u00a0architect<\/strong>\u00a0and curator Terence Riley to elaborate the idea for Museum Garage. WORKac, J. Mayer. H, Clavel Arquitectos, Nicolas Buffe were chosen to design the garage\u2019s facades, along with Riley\u2019s own architectural firm K\/R (Keenen\/Riley).<\/p>\n

\"Discover<\/a><\/p>\n

Bringing together these designers from around the world, Riley drew inspiration from the surrealist parlor game, Exquisite Corpse. This game included a compilation of pictures gathered by several artists with no regard or awareness of what the other artists have drawn, creating one image whose elements don\u2019t necessarily harmonize but flow together as one playful piece.<\/p>\n

\"Discover<\/p>\n

Under Riley\u2019s management, each participating architect has ultimately designated an area and depth to build out and given free reign to conceive completely different designs. The result is a uniquely contemporary, architectural version of the Exquisite Corpse.<\/p>\n

The parking garage will house in the future ground-floor retail\u00a0locations and is presumed to extend the architectural profile of the\u00a0Miami\u00a0Design District<\/strong><\/em>, which currently\u00a0highlights\u00a0numerous major\u00a0art installations<\/strong>\u00a0including\u00a0Buckminster Fuller<\/strong>\u00a0Fly\u2019s Eye Dome\u00a0and\u00a0Zaha Hadid\u2019<\/strong>s Elastika.<\/p>\n
