Visit the Brompton Design District During the London Design Festival \u2013 <\/strong><\/em>The amazing\u00a0London Design Festival<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is almost upon us! This is one of the most beloved festivals in the world that seeks to promote innovation and design. This year it will take place from 15-23 September in London, obviously!<\/p>\n

\"Visit<\/a>This event hosts a wide variety of events and exhibitions\u00a0in London\u2019s most prominent locations, namely in the\u00a0Brompton Design District<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0which for this edition will explore the theme\u00a0\u201cMaterial Consequences\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and the programme will be curated by the renowned London-based studio,\u00a0Jane Withers<\/a><\/strong>. Many design projects will be on display at this Design District and we\u2019ve selected 5. These exhibitions will be located across a series of places, so be sure to check them out!<\/p>\n

Crafting Plastics!: Feel Free to Consume<\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/h3>\n

\"Visit<\/a>In this installation, the studio will explore new aesthetics and the limits of the material demonstrated in the production process in their dirty lab setup for Brompton. Thorugh NAUTAN(tm) \u2013 the studio\u2019s most recent material which was created in partnership with scientists from Slovak University of Technology \u2013 Crafting Plastics! will challenge negative prejudice around biodegradable materials. The exhibition will highlight\u00a0the Khamir Kala Cotton Initiative, which is a reinterpretation of an old craft value chain reconfigured for the modern marketplace.
